These Foods Improve Male Reproductive Health!

Awareness regarding the importance of healthy eating and healthy living is increasing! We men now know that both sports and the foods we consume have a very important effect on our sexual health. Despite all we know, we neglect our health due to reasons such as busy work tempo, the allure of fast food, stress, and lack of time...

... and even when we realize this fact, we scrutinize what we need to do to change our lifestyle.

In this article, I will provide you with information about foods that improve male reproductive health. Of course, I do not claim that you will experience a miraculous effect instantly when you add these foods to your diet; however, if you wish to review your diet according to the results of scientific research, I think knowing these special foods will provide you with a great advantage.

1. Spinach Many generations grew up with "Popeye" cartoons, and information was conveyed for years that spinach consumption would be very good for iron deficiency. But some facts were either not touched upon or the subject was glossed over with short statements.

Spinach is a magnificent source of Folic Acid (Vitamin B9), which accelerates blood circulation. This vitamin also plays a critical role in men's sexual functions. Scientific studies reveal a link between Erectile Dysfunction (ED) and folic acid deficiency.

When it comes to erectile dysfunction, although there are treatment options such as medication, Shockwave Therapy (ESWT), P-Shot (PRP), Penile Prosthesis, or Dorsal Vein Ligation surgery if the erection problem is due to venous insufficiency, the importance of healthy eating should be understood to prevent erectile dysfunction from starting. Spinach comes at the top of the foods you should add to your diet with both the folic acid and the magnesium mineral it contains, which increases blood flow.

2. Coffee Coffee, one of the most consumed beverages in our society, is among the indispensable drinks for male sexual health thanks to the caffeine it contains. When 2 – 3 cups of coffee are consumed per day, the penile arteries and muscles relax (smooth muscle relaxation), thus increasing the penis's erection capacity.

Despite this benefit it offers, those with systemic diseases especially need to consult doctors about caffeine consumption. When coffee consumption is excessive, it can raise blood pressure, increase the need for urination, and reduce calcium absorption in bones.

3. Carrots Carrots are one of the healthiest antioxidant sources. Beta-carotene, which gives the carrot its orange color, is converted by the body into Vitamin A, which strengthens the immune system. Aside from Vitamin A, it has been shown by scientific studies that carrots, which contain vitamins and minerals such as biotin, Vitamin K, Vitamin B6, lutein, and potassium, positively affect sperm quality and sperm motility.

4. Tomatoes Tomatoes, one of the indispensable foods of Turkish cuisine, contain abundant amounts of Lycopene. Lycopene is a very powerful antioxidant that gives tomatoes and watermelons their red color. Like all antioxidants that fight against free radicals leading to the formation of cancer cells in the body, lycopene also strengthens the immune system.

The fact that the body cannot produce lycopene on its own and lycopene can only be introduced into the body through food increases the importance of lycopene consumption. Scientific studies show that lycopene reduces the risk of Prostate Cancer! At the same time, it is thought to create positive changes on sperm density, motility, and morphology.

5. Chili Peppers If you like spicy food and your body does not show any allergic reaction to spice, you are quite lucky! Chili peppers contain a chemical compound called "Capsaicin," which increases sexual desire (libido) along with the release of endorphins. Scientific studies show that this compound also increases testosterone levels!
